Account Activation
After you have sent in a signed CCN User Agreement and confirming identification to The CCN Office, your account will be activated and you will be able to use the account. If your account has not been activated after a week, please call the CCN Office at 902-494-2449 and inquire about its status.

On-line Registration
On-line registration is a series of screen displays including on-line forms for the user to complete. The submitted registration information is maintained in a secure database and is used to create the account.

CCN User Agreement
The CCN User Agreement outlines how you may and may not use the system. It has been subdivided into the Mission, Articles and the Acknowledgement for on-line registration. A copy signed by the user (and their parent or legal guardian if under 18) must be on file for an account in good standing.

Confirming Identification

Confirming identification is one of the following:

• If you are over 18
  1. a cheque or money order for membership in the Chebucto Community Net Society.
  2. a photocopy of a valid personal identification that you have signed
• If you are under 18
  1. a cheque or money order for membership in the Chebucto Community Net Society signed by the parent or legal guardian that signed your User Agreement
  2. a photocopy of a valid personal identification signed by the parent or legal guardian that signed your User Agreement

Printing to your own printer
First, make sure your printer is turned on. You press the "p" key to get a print menu. Select "Use vt100 print sequence to print to your attached printer" and it should start right away. Some communications software packages do not support the vt100 print sequence or perhaps your software configuration is not properly setup. You will have use the screen capture feature of your communications software and select "Print to the screen" Your other alternative is to hand copy the CCN User Agreement Acknowledgement page that is displayed.

Memberships Types and Annual Dues

• Full: Any individual age 18 or over, $20.00
• Assisted: $12.00 or what you can afford
• Family: Two or more individuals living in the same household, $40.00

Supporting and Chebucto Plus Memberships

• Supporting Memberships are eligible to apply for a Custom Login ID.
• Chebucto Plus Memberships are eligible for a Custom Login ID and the Chebucto Plus graphical access service.

• Supporting Individual: $50.00 or more
• Supporting Family: $100.00 or more
• Chebucto Plus (Individual): $125.00 or more
• Chebucto Plus Family: $165.00 or more
• Sustaining Family (now defunct, renewals of existing memberships only): $225.00 or more

Custom Login ID
As a benefit of Supporting and Chebucto Plus Memberships, the member can chose their own Login ID, subject to some restrictions.
